Olympus EP-2, Image 5, 6, Bangkok, Thailand

Novice monks receiving Buddhist texts from lay community

Image specs: Olympus E-P2, f5.6, 1/40, ISO100, 17 (34mm), 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 Standard Wide Zoom (M.Zuiko), white balance auto, vivid mode, hand-held (image stabliser IS1 set).

QUICK FACTS: A serendipitous image capture on the way to work. A good reason to keep the EP-2 with me at all times. These novice monks were lined up outside the fast food and drink chains McDonalds and Starbucks, in itself an incongruous match of subjects. I was able to freely (but politely) wander around shooting as the monks received their new books. Bangkok expresses it’s religious and monarchic icons freely and this is the core of societal values in Thailand.
