Olympus E-P2 Image 3,4, Bangkok, Thailand

Temple reflection

Image 3 specs: Olympus E-P2, f5.6, 1/25, ISO100, 17 (34mm), white balance auto, vivid mode, hand-held (image stabliser IS1 set).

QUICK FACTS: Again, composition is the factor here in these two images when photographing buildings but don’t forget to search for the unusual. In addition to the serendipitous image capture when travelling, I enjoy looking for something unobtrusive or apparently unseen. This window was hidden at the back of the temple and I took many variations on this image. I chose this because it shows the whole Stupa in reflection. To do this I had to crouch low to compose. A little effort is always rewarding. Look for juxtaposition of light and dark, wait until dusk, compose with leading lines of perspective. Keep it simple.
